Initially established as a ski touring cabin, owner Patric Maloney and friends erected the main timber frame lodge in 1993. Handcrafted from larch and fir timbers, it's a solid structure able to withstand any storm.  Add fresh flowers, local artwork, leather furniture and fine dining, and the mystique of our haven begins to take shape.

Our guests have exclusive use of the buildings and facilities, and enjoy the camaraderie of only a dozen fellow skiers or riders. We offer all the creature comforts of city living, while maintaining the privacy and peacefulness of a wilderness mountain hideaway.

A key chapter in our story, is a commitment to sustainability and reducing our footprint to help preserve the very nature that makes our wilderness experience one of the best in the world. A spring-fed micro-hydro system powers our pristine off-grid location in the spring, summer and fall.  We compost all our kitchen waste and recycle everything we possibly can.  We now use propane heating instead of burning wood.  This means you will enjoy endless hotwater on demand, infloor heating and 2 hot tubs waiting for you at the end of each day, all with clean air!

Other companies buy carbon credits.  For the past 23 years, we have owned a forestry business where we collect millions of seedlings each year for reforestation.  In this way we hope to offset our carbon emissions.
