Snowwater - WIN A TRIP!

Snowwater Heliskiing Video Contest

We continue to be amazed at the quality of videos that some of our guests are producing after skiing/riding with us. There seems to be no shortage of creativity and passion that goes into these efforts. This got us thinking that it might be cool to create a contest that motivated all of you to push the limits and create some stunning videos. And to fuel that motivation, here's what we are going to offer for prizes:

Grand Prize: FREE 3 Day Trip to Snowwater This Winter!

There are some really simple guidelines that we'd expect all entrants to follow, they are:

footage/content must be from a trip to Snowwater
video should open and close with Snowwater logo (appropriate logo can be downloaded at http://www.snowwater.com/videocontest)
it should be set to your favorite music
video should be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and viewable by anyone.
title of video should include "Snowwater Heliskiing" so that it can be quickly located via search.
should be under 7 minutes in length

Outside of those guidelines, you are free to be as creative as you possibly want. Our intent would be to award all prizes by Dec 31st 2011 and winners will be announced via our Facebook page, email and on our website. All submissions will be judged according to the following criteria:

quality of the ski/snowboard footage
original creativity
number of views on YouTube & Vimeo
efforts made to promote the video virally (in Facebook and on Twitter) Note that all Tweets should include #Snowwater so that we can track the Tweets and Facebook posts should include @Snowwater so that they are searchable.

The last two criteria are the most important and will play a huge role in determining the winners. So, think about how you will drive viewings to whatever video content you create. As you can tell, there are plenty of great prizes at stake here so hopefully this will motivate each of you to go back to video footage (or still pictures) that you shot last year and create some killer content. All entries will be judged by a 5 person panel and evaluation will begin on DEC 20th, 2011. So, there's plenty of time to create the video and the sooner you get it up - the better. This also gives all of you ample time to promote your videos to friends and any other audiences you wish to drive up views of your content.
