NICOLE TALBOT
HostessHoste
Nicole is a down to earth Vancouver Island girl. From snow to surf, her island roots have made her a zealous surfer and an experienced skiier. Over the years Nicole's stomping grounds have been Mount Washington and Mount Cain, now she is very excited to broaden her horizons in the Kootenay mountain range. From graduation to Hostessing at a remote world renowned fishing resort, Nicole now brings her warm and sunny disposition to everyone at the Snowwater Lodge.
MEARE MILLER
Hostess
Born with a passion for winter, I have spent the last 4 years chasing snow as an aggressive snowboarder. Competing in various competitions around British Columbia, Nelson finally became home when Ripping Giraffe Boardshop sponsored me as a team rider. In between snow seasons I have made it my priority to travel, visiting countries in central america as well as south east asia. My passion for extreme sports has led me into the first aid realm. During the off seasons, I plan to pursue a career as a paramedic.
SARAH SEREMACK
Hostess
Beautiful summers, good people, and winter sports are what made Sarah decide to call her hometown of Nelson home again. After high school, she attended University working towards a double major in Anthropology and Environmental science. Sarah's has a laid back personality, a great sense of humour, and is always open to new experiences. She has over six years experience in the hospitality industry, a deep love for winter, and a passion for snowboarding. She cannot wait for the ski season to begin and for her first year at Snowwater.
ANGELIQUE AHLSTROM
Guest Services
Angelique was born and raised in Nelson BC. Loving life in the Kootenays she spends her time hiking/snowboarding in the mountains, swimming in the lake, and enjoying the BC summer. She has a passion for travelling and has spent the last few years in Spain, South east Asia, and South America. Angelique is currently working towards her degree in International Development and is excited for another fresh Kootenay winter!
VICTORIA PATCHELL
Guest Services
Victoria comes to us from Australia with a weath of experiene under her young belt. She has worked on the front line as a hostess in the Andes of Chile, a Chalet Manager in the French Alps, and a Sales Representative for Scott USA to the Business Development Manager for one of Australia's largest ski wholesalers (www.valuetours.com.au). She also has a double Bachelor in Communications and Business and Commerce at Monash University majoring in Tourism and Journalism with a minor in marketing.
EMILY RAE
Massage Therapist
We are thrilled to have our singing Emily back for another season in the snow! This will be her third season with Snowwater, massaging the kinks out of sore muscles and tired bones. If you can stay up late enough, she often is found in our lounge area singing her songs and playing a mean guitar. Locally born and raised in Crawford bay, she is a kootenay girl with a music degree and halfway through her anatomy degree.
JULIA VAN EE

We are nothing less than thrilled to have Julia back with us again. Previously she work for two seasons at the lodge as a hostess. Julia grew up in the Okanagan on Silver Star mountain and has been snowboarding since she was a young teen. Since graduating 10 years ago she has lived between the Sunshine Coast of Australia, Whistler and the beautiful Kootenays in BC. We are sure you will enjoy her joie de vivre!
GALENA PAL
Massage Therapist /Tail Guide
A true Kootenay girl, she has grown up in the mountains here in beautiful Nelson B.C.
With 7 years experience as a certified massage therapist and spa owner, she is well known in the community for her healing hands and killer deep tissue massage. Studying all around the world, she is a graduate of the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage, the Canadian Institute Of Palliative Care, as well as certified in Thai and Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. In addition to her extensive massage therapy background Galena, is an avid snowboarder/skier and loves the outdoors and big powder days at Snowwater!
KYLA TUCKER

She's back!! We welcome Kyla back with open arms for her third season at Snowwater! With her experience massaging football players like the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, you're sure to be guaranteed a deep massage. A registered certified Massage therapist, she can mend and aches and pains almost over night! Please be sure to book ahead to ensure your spot.
DAVID KNOOP
Executive Chef
A student of Toronto’s George Brown College, David recognized his passion for cooking well before his love of the slopes. He has worked internationally at the Ritz- Carleton, at Toronto’s famed “Canoe,” and even owns his own restaurant in Golden BC. David’s enthusiasm and passion for food is portrayed creatively by highlighting Pacific Northwest flavours, while striving to showcase regional produce, supporting local organic growers and suppliers whenever possible. Whether at Five star resorts, award-winning restaurants, or exclusive private events, he has a thirst for knowledge and an eye for enticing presentation.
THOMAS RENDER
Chef
We are thrilled to introduce a new chef to Snowwater and our guests for the 2011 - 12 season. Thomas comes to us with years of high experience at notable places like the naramata Hertiage Inn and Spa,Hastings House, Relais and Chateaux, saltspring Island and Langdon Hall, Relais and Chateiax Cambridge Ontario. He is not only a certified Red Seal chef, but a certified Chef de Cuisine as well. His specialty is using local ingredients, organic meat and produce, and bringing flavours to the forefront of every meal. DO ao few extra sit ups this fall - you'll want to eat everything put in front of you this winter!
ALEX REID
Bartender, Tail Guide
Alex was a superb addition to our lodge scene last winter, and we are thrilled to have him back again this season. Born in New Zealand, he was raised in Kelowna, BC. As a professional cocktail barman, he introduced a new level of drinking sophistication to Snowwater. Having managed the bar at various cactus clubs around BC, as well as being trained in England, and working in Europe for the prestigious Descent Club, he brings much more than just bartending. His energy and humour are relentless and you can count on him to make sure your every need is met. He is also an avid skier and pro-golfer.
JASON SWAN
Bartender
Jason, AKA "Swany" is back for his third season at Snowwater. Originally from eastern Canada, he attended Ottawa University and moved west 15 years ago and now lives in Rossland. He worked in the restuarant industry for many years, but also has quite a history with ski racing, coaching and was a certified ski tech - all hand skills at a place like this! He has a passion for snowmobiling, snowboarding and boating in the summer.
